About the Show
A bruised one-man play about being 18, being in love and being unable to cope.In Walthamstow, London, in 1999, a boy and a girl met in a pub. A day later it was over.
The boy is still trying to deal with it.
He has written a play about it.
A total sellout at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2008, Stefan Golaszewski Speaks About A Girl He Once Loved is a funny and touching new play winning the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe First award and nominated for Best Solo Show in the UK Stage Newspapers Theatre Awards

"Stefan Golaszewski's a sickeningly talented young man. Squished into a sweaty attic in the Pleasance and armed with nothing more than a handful of props and some banging techno music, the young London lad is bowling over audiences with his first solo show, a smart, sharp, funny, charming and ultimately very affecting autobiographical monologue about falling in love and having his heart broken. And what makes this show really special is the wildly imaginative writing that absolutely nails all the eagerness and awkwardness of youth"
- The List
"it is enthralling precisely because its language is not purple or overdone; he describes feelings, images and epiphanies precisely as they have struck us all at one time or another"
- Financial Times
"This is a blindingly good show which revels in the little absurdities of love whilst shining incandescently when touching on the baffling beauty of it."
- Broadway Baby
"No-one can fail to be touched by his story"
- The Scotsman
