About the Show
These pirates won't make you walk the plank, but they will steal your kids' stories and use them in an hour of comedy that promotes creative writing and imagination. Equal parts educational adventure and sketch comedy musical, this hilarious show, called "crazy entertaining" by The Daily Show's Jon Stewart, encourages kids to conjour worlds where cats fly or rock operas about alien tickle monsters. Based entirely on stories written by kids and brought to life by professional comedians and musicians, each Story Pirates show features the debut of several new stories by kids in attendance, as well as an on-stage interview with the young authors. The best part? Everyone in the audience gets free ice cream after the show.
