Join Fiasco Theater and PigPen Theatre Company for an evening of bluegrass at the Barrow Street Theatre!
Fiasco Theater, the multi-talented 6-member cast of the highly acclaimed Off Broadway show Cymbeline, has invited PigPen, and special guests to join in a night of bluegrass music. Audience members are invited to bring their guitars (or a ukulele, banjo, etc.) for a second act giant jam session.
The first half of the evening will feature bluegrass and folk music from Fiasco as well as its spin-off band Faker Hill. The concert will celebrate the kind of intimate and joyful acoustic music that infuses all of Fiasco's productions, including Cymbeline. PigPen creates atmospheric theatrical fables with a unique blend of shadow puppetry, group movement, live music, often with original folk and bluegrass songs. They have toured nationally and became the first company in history to win the top honor for a play at the New York City International Fringe Festival two years in a row, in 2010 and 2011.
