Mike Birbiglia (Performer/Writer) Mike Birbiglia is a comedian, writer, and actor best known for his award-winning off-Broadway hit Sleepwalk with Me, a one-man show that straddled standup comedy and theater and was presented by Broadway legend Nathan Lane. The New York Times called his show “simply perfect” and Time Out New York named it their "Comedy of the Year." Birbiglia followed up his theatrical debut with his New York Times bestselling book “Sleepwalk with Me & Other Painfully True Stories.” In recent years Birbiglia has emerged as standup comedy’s preeminent storyteller. He has starred in three Comedy Central Specials, released two hit CDs for Comedy Central Records, Two Drink Mike and My Secret Public Journal Live, which was named one of the “Best Comedy Albums of the Decade” by The Onion AV Club. Birbiglia has also made regular appearances on Public Radio International’s This American Life. Recently Mike made his motion picture debut in Going the Distance for New Line, starring Drew Barrymore and Justin Long, and appeared in Cedar Rapids for Fox Searchlight, directed by Miguel Arteta and starring Ed Helms and John C. Reilly.
